Oh yes, that...artifact is here. What a puzzlement, to find such a thing in a place like this. I hope it keeps in my pocket. I cannot have the others discovering it before I find out its purpose.

My future here, and the future of the world, may depend on what this chief says. Already they seem to be a warlike populace, but that may yet be only limited to hunting parties. They seem far more willing to speak through things than even the more advanced people in my world.
