Those who turn away from their education must be disregarded.

Those who disrupt the education of others must be punished.

But I wonder...what causes either of those things? What within our species would cause a being to shun the very act of learning? And what would drive them to then ensure that none others could learn?

Disgusting.

To expect or to demand others be like you is unrealistic and morally improper. Let them be children and to learn the errors of their ways. You aren't their parents and you aren't the voice of authority - no matter how much you'd like to be.

Yes, children must learn the error of their ways. But these are not children, for the most part. They are far beyond the stage of development where disruption is permissible.

If you say so. I'd say discipline within reason. Generally by sending them to the headmaster. Or if they want to act like children, treat them like children and make them stand in the corner.

I do punish them. You have seen me assign essays to those who cannot support their behaviors.

However, I do not believe that sending them to the headmaster is a sufficient punishment. Those who I have sent do not reach there, and the few who have are not punished in any way. In short, I do not believe that the headmaster enforces any sort of punishment.

I'm pretty sure they don't see being assigned essays as 'punishment'. They likely view it as just more homework.

And if they shun the educational process to the degree that they demonstrate, it serves its purpose.

You disagree. Explain.

That's really none of your concern, Cyrus. Best of luck to you.
