It is in their very nature to fight. That is how they connect with others. To put it in human terms would be...ill-stated at best. One does not force a pokémon to battle, and it cannot be compared with human violence, as they rarely do so for such disgusting purposes.

To battle...the term is a misnomer. To compete would be more accurate.

They take direction from me. In nature, although they fight, they are unaware for the most part of what is most effective against their opponents. Humans, through research, have discovered those things, and so we partner to achieve full potential.

To compare it to war is again a falsehood. I would not participate in such a thing if that were the case.

In truth I have none of those. However I would not select them to battle you anyway. I prefer to come at things at a disavantage and work to overcome it.
