The subject matter alone ought to hold them, but it does not. There are problem students constantly, those whose educations are beyond tertiary to troublemaking.
Perhaps, yet that is not what I speak of. I do not mean those who have something inhibiting the learning process within them, only those who refuse to learn. Those who are willfully ignorant.
I think that's subjective, Professor. One person could say someone is willfully ignorant. Another could say that's not the case at all. Makes it difficult to determine with jaded views.
Very well. I will speak again on the subject of peace, why we must devote ourselves fully to it. They will expect me to speak on love, but I will not waste my time.
I'm pretty sure you could connect love and peace together without going off the main points of tomorrow's lecture. Why not try to put it all together so people can connect the dots?
I think it should be alright, Professor Cyrus. Most folks aren't doing anything till after classes anyhow, probably.
Unless it's like last year and people start falling in love with one another randomly. Hopefully not though, but it's happened two years in a row now so... just forwarning you.
...I see. I recall that...that is commonplace then?
No matter. They are expected to reign that in during classes. Surely those who feel love already have attended class without interference. But that is the nature of such things...
Well, let me put it to you this way. First time it happened, I chased my Battle Strategies teacher all over the place professing my undying love. Last year, I wound up falling for one of my best buddies who happens to be my OTHER best buddies girlfriend. I wound up chucking bits of sidewalk at him for getting in the way of my budding romance. Not that I'm at all proud to admit it.
So, yes. It's a regular thing on that day, or has happened at LEAST twice. No, it's not like normal love - it's actually pretty scary.
So, if some of your students are acting REALLY weird beyond what's normal for this place, I'd say it probably happened again. It's a total loss of control. I'd like to think I'm a very strong willed person, but even I found myself powerless to it twice so...
Who knows. Might even be your turn this year, Sir.
